 Effects Of Pollution

Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that cause adverse change. Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat, or light.

Air Pollution

Air pollution is caused by solid and liquid particles and certain gases that are suspended in the air. These particles and gas air are calledAerosols.es can come from cars, trucks factories, dust, wildfires, etc. The solid and liquid particles suspended in our

Effects of Air Pollution

Our physical wellbeing is affected differently by the kind of air pollution we are exposed to. There are many organs and bodily functions that can be harmed, the consequences including:

  • Respiratory diseases
  • Fatigue, headaches, and anxiety
  • Irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat
  • Damage to reproductive organs
  • Nervous system damage.

Land Pollution

Land Pollution refers to the worsening of the earth’s land surfaces. It occurs mainly due to the indirect and direct effects of human activities. Similarly, when we misuse the land resources, land pollution happens. The most common cause of air pollution is throwing garbage in open, and waste is thrown out from factories.

Effects of Land Pollution

(There are many effects of some of them are written)

  • Groundwater poisoning Depending on the soil and whether the chemicals were improperly disposed of on the land, the chemicals could end up in the groundwater. The process is known as leaching. It can occur on farms, industrial sites, and landfills.
  • Loss of topsoil As chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used to maintain crops, the topsoil’s composition becomes altered. The soil becomes more susceptible to harmful fungus species and begins to erode.
  • Impact of land pollution on humans Some of the effects include birth defects, the development of breathing disorders, skin diseases, and cancer. Most of these develop after exposure to waste from water poisoning and soil contamination.

Water Pollution

Water pollution is the pollution of bodies of water, such as lakes, rivers, seas, the oceans, as well as groundwater. It occurs when pollutants reach these bodies of water, without treatment it affects plants and organisms living in the water.

Effects of Water Pollution

  • Diseases In humans, drinking or consuming polluted water in any way has many disastrous effects on our health. It causes typhoid, cholera, hepatitis, and various other diseases.
  • Destruction of Ecosystems Ecosystems are extremely dynamic and respond to even small changes in the environment. Water pollution can cause an entire ecosystem to collapse if left unchecked.
  • Effects of the food chain Disruption in food chains happens when toxins and pollutants in the water are consumed by aquatic animals(fish, shellfish, etc) which are then consumed by humans.
